Former ‘General Hospital’ actor Johnny Vector was killed while disrupting a catalytic converter robbery in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Vector was shot and killed while interrupting a catalytic converter burglary in downtown Los Angeles, his family confirmed Sunday.

The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Saturday in the area of ​​West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street. LAPD investigators said three men attempted to steal a catalytic converter when the car’s owner approached them.

Scarlett Vector told ABC7 that her 37-year-old son was walking with a co-worker after leaving work at a downtown rooftop bar when he saw what appeared to be someone working on his car.

He initially thought his car was being towed, she said, and approached the man to ask if that was the case. But the suspect, who was wearing a mask, opened fire.

Police said the three suspects fled in a vehicle. Paramedics brought Vaktor to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
