Dogs invited into the pool for a dip

Salior sitting on the pool deck at the YMCA – something you don’t see every day at the indoor swimming pool.

Before the Exploits Valley YMCA did its annual swimming pool drain and maintenance, dogs and their owners were invited to come in for a dip.

This event was a first for the local YMCA, but lifeguard Devon Gardner said he hopes it will become an annual activity.

There were two one-hour time slots for big and small dogs.

Sailor was the only dog brave enough to jump into the big pool with lifeguard Devon Gardner.
