The third annual softball fundraiser for the Grand Falls-Windsor Beothuks senior all-star provincial baseball team will take place from June 1-3 in Grand Falls-Windsor at the Goodyear Ave. field.
Organizer Chris Grimes said they’re hoping to have 10 men’s teams enrolled to play in the tournament. The registration fee is $250, and prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
The tournament is a fundraiser to support the Beothucks in traveling to Corner Brook on July 20 to defend their provincial title at the championships.
