Grand Fall-Windsor golfer Jayne Hamlyn captured the ladies juvenile provincial championship on July 8 and will head to Sarnia, Ontario to represent the province at the National Junior Girls Championship Aug. 2-6.

Hamlyn captured the juvenile title with a 379 over the tournament.

“I played really well actually,” she said. “The first day I went out and shot two strokes within the best I’ve ever done. I was really happy. I broke 100 every day and I just started doing that this year.”

“I find it a really big mental game. I used to let the little things affect me and if I missed a shot it would affect my whole game." - Jayne Hamlyn

The 15-year-old is in her seventh year of golf and has been making strides in both her shots and her mental game.
