Music for furry friends

The annual Exploits Valley SPCA gospel concert took place last Tuesday.

The young and young at heart were in attendance at the sixth annual Exploits Valley SPCA gospel concert at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday. Eight-month-old Noah Ford of Grand Falls-Windsor enjoyed the entertainment of the night. 1 width:500px;height:332px Rev. Roy Martin and the St. Alban’s Men’s Group, and also sang a song as the group featured its members. 2 width:500px;height:332px There were approximately 240 people in attendance at the annual Exploits Valley SPCA gospel concert on Tuesday, and a total of 31 CDs sold, with artists donating $5 of every CD sold to the local SPCA. The SPCA said they would like to thank all the artists who participated in the successful gospel concert, all volunteers who helped make the evening a success, and also Rev. Randy Lockyer, rector of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, for letting the SPCA hold our annual gospel concert at the church and being our emcee for the evening. 3 width:500px;height:332px Jamie Bauld played piano for Rev. Tara Rowsell (pictured) and Ray Colbourne were among the artists performing for the SPCA. Other entertainers included Maxine Stanley, Roger Bragg, Everett Adams, Rev. Elizabeth Stewart, Roy Hynes and Ron Sheppard, Phil Grimes and Mick Carey, Pete Banfield, Nicole Keats, and Rev. Roy Martin and the St. Alban’s Men’s Group. 6 height:500px;width:332px Pete Banfield played the trumpet and got the audience involved, singing along with him. 7 height:500px;width:393px Here, Howard Bailey played the Hawaiian guitar.
