Beaumont man dies in car crash

A 65-year-old man from Beaumont on Long Island, Newfoundland, was killed in a car crash just passed 12 a.m. Saturday.

Springdale RCMP was called the scene of the crash, which was nearby the local Beaumont fire hall.

The man was the driver of a Chevrolet truck.

The RCMP suspect alcohol may have been a factor in this incident and is continuing its investigation.

The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.
