Accident closes bridge

The Department of Natural Resources is advising the public that the bridge spanning the Exploits River seven kilometres south of Millertown is closed due to a motor vehicle accident. Officials believe the bridge will reopen at 7:00 p.m. or later on Thursday.

Reports from onlookers at the scene indicate the crash between a tractor trailer carrying ore from the Teck Duck Pond operation and another carrying logs impacted on or near the bridge. There were no serious injuries reported.
